Floor finish technology has come a very long way. What use to be an inconvenient and unhealthy process is now safe for your home, family, pets and the environment. Rhodes Hardwood offers Bona® oil and water based finishes available in satin, semi-gloss, & gloss. Contractors offering lower prices may not be using comparable finishes. Be sure you are comparing apples to apples when comparing our bids with competitors.

GOOD Bona Woodline® – Oil Modified Urethane

Bona Woodline® is an oil modified floor finish for residential and commercial hardwood floors. Woodline enhances the natural color of woods and develops an amber patina over time. Woodline is a VOC compliant finish. Although, since it is oil modified it does have a stronger odor and it takes longer to dry. Projects will generally take a day longer when using oil based finish and it is a good idea to vacate the home for a couple of days with this product.

BETTER Bona Mega® Water-Based

Bona Mega is a water based finish for both residential and commercial floors. Mega is an oxygen-cross linking polyurethane formula that offers great durability. The oxygen in the air acts as the cross-linker. Water not harmful vapors, evaporate and leave a tough coating on the floor. An added UV protectant helps protect floors from discoloring and yellowing.

BEST Bona Traffic® 2-Component Water-based

Bona traffic is a water based commercial and residential finish that offers the ultimate in durability, outperforming all other finishes in the industry-moisture cure, solvent based, oil- modified or any other waterborne finish on the market. This product was designed specifically for heavy-traffic hardwood floors. Traffic is a two-component system with a catalyst/hardener. Traffic is VOC compliant and Green guard certified. An added UV protectant helps protect floors from discoloring and yellowing.

Please Note: Prices listed are for projects 400 square feet and larger. Pricing indicated includes 3 total coatings; 1 coat of sealer & 2 finish coatings. Additional coatings available for 99¢ per square foot per extra coating. If staining is desired an additional cost of 99¢ per square foot will apply. Project minimum $500.
